Meski

Draymond Green, a Golden State Warriors star, is a co-owner of a new San Francisco restaurant called Meski. The restaurant, located in Lower Nob Hill, is an Ethiopian-dominican fusion restaurant and bar. Green partnered with Chef Nelson German and restaurateur Guma Fassil to create the concept, which aims to create a unique dining experience celebrating Black culture.

The name "Meski" for the restaurant is a tribute to Guma Fassil's mother, Meskerem "Meski" Tsegaye. She was the founder and owner of the original Meskie's Kitchen and Garden Ethiopian restaurant in Berkeley, which Fassil later took over. The name "Meski" is a nickname for her. The new restaurant in San Francisco, co-owned by Draymond Green, is also named after her, creating a connection between the two restaurants.]

Don't even think about the panacotta. NY is good, tomahawk may be the way to go if you're with some friends. But let's get back to the donuts. Id recommend getting it with the cocktail with milk. Forget... about it 🤌every dish was average to above average, nothing really stood out (until the donuts). Cocktails were a huge plus, very creative and tasty. Vibe was cool, music on point, there is a downstairs were parties are held for reference or to watch dubs games with Dray when he retires someday.  Joe Says:

Over hyped and delivered too many technical violations, similar to Drays playing style. Meski left the crowd unamused. While the drinks and atmosphere were the highlights, the jerk chicken was dry to the bone.

Come for the donuts but don’t come with high expectations with this one.

The chicken arrived disappointingly dry, a missed opportunity in what should be one of the simplest dishes to execute well. I moved on after this.
